This is a huge step in the right direction and we are over the moon to see our residents with their ‘I’ve been vaccinated’ signs with big smiles on their faces. Some of our homes have received both parts of their vaccine, whereas some are awaiting the second dose which is currently being organised.
We have been so impressed with our residents resilience and understanding throughout the coronavirus pandemic, always staying upbeat despite the unprecedented situation.
We have done everything we can to keep our residents informed and up-to-date as guidance changes so they’re never left in the dark, and we’ve included them in our decision making process throughout the lockdowns, as well as their loved ones.
They have learnt many new skills such as emailing and using video chats on the homes tablet computers, allowing them to stay in touch with their loved ones as much as possible while having some face-to-face contact.
A huge thank you to our staff groups who have taken the time to show and teach our residents to use technology they had very little experience with, and their ability to continue smiling and spreading happiness throughout the home.
A massive thank you to all the organisations involved within the rollout of the Covid19 vaccine’s across East Anglia, and to our amazing GP’s who came to vaccinate our residents and staff. You were all professional, considerate of our staff and residents needs, and willing to answer questions and put people’s minds at ease.
We have many care homes throughout the East of England, providing high-quality care to our residents. Get in touch with our team today.
