Residents and staff have been enjoying the results of their efforts as plants and flowers have been coming into bloom across our homes.
Many of our residents enjoy gardening as a hobby and have been encouraged to continue this by taking part in regular gardening clubs. A few weeks ago, when the weather was still cold and wet, our activity teams helped residents plant up baskets, tubs, trugs and accessible planters with seedlings as well as creating painted ornamental butterflies and birds.
Now that spring has well and truly sprung and the weather is (finally!) much warmer, those plants have grown into beautiful, colourful displays at the entrances and in the gardens of our homes.
The displays at the front of the homes make a lovely first impression of the home in their local community and have been a nice topic of conversation for people.
As we move into summer, our residents will continue to enjoy the nicer weather in the gardens, and we look forward to using them for family and community events, so to have them looking their best is really nice to see.
