Charles celebrates his 100th birthday at Chiswick House

It was a busy week for Charles at Chiswick House as he celebrated his 100th birthday!

The team at the home on Christchurch Road in Norwich pulled out all the stops to make sure Charles' day was made special. He enjoyed a lovely buffet lunch at the home with other residents and his friends and family. He was also presented with a special engraved glass ornament in honour of his milestone.

Earlier in the week, Charles paid a visit to Sprowston Infant School where the children sang happy birthday and presented him with handmade cards, including one from the Kingfisher class at the school with a quote from Charlie Chaplin: "A day without laughter is a day wasted. We hope you have lots of laughter on your birthday." They celebrated with a cake, with Charles blowing out the candles.

Charles has lived at Chiswick House since March 2022 and has many friends at the home. Manager Mariana wished him a happy birthday: "Charles is such a lovely man with a special smile. He is a well-loved gentleman with a caring family. We are so proud to care for him at Chiswick House, and it is our pleasure to wish him a very happy 100th birthday."
