Residents at Kings Lynn Residential Care Home enjoyed a seaside-themed afternoon at the home on the hottest weekend of the summer.
Residents at the home on Kettlewell Lane enjoyed a delicious BBQ, with live music from Sean Moyses – aka The Banjo Man.
Friends and relatives also joined the fun with residents’ grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing with their grannies and grandads with a home-made sand pit. There was also a visit from the ice cream van as Reesey’s parked their van outside the home for people to enjoy a cornet or a 99.
Joint-Manager Jodi Collins thanked the staff: “Well, that was fun! It’s been wonderful to see so many smiling faces and happy residents and staff. The BBQ seems to have gone down a storm with lots of comments about the delicious food – especially the homemade salads and coleslaw!
“Sean’s a great entertainer, and the residents all enjoyed a good old singalong to some seaside favourites. Our Activities Co-Ordinator Jo has made everyone laugh with her coconuts! Everyone’s been left with a full belly and a full heart!”
