Fundraising at The Haven

Residents, families and staff raised £173 for Breast Cancer Awareness when they held a Wear it Pink day at the home in Boston.

With a raffle, guess the weight of the cake and a musical afternoon, everyone had a wonderful time. Resident Joan was even tempted out of her bedroom where she prefers to spend most of her time.

Manager Evangeline explained how the day went: "We had such a great day, the residents joined in, wearing their favourite pink clothes or just a simple ribbon. Bev our Activities Co-Ordinator has done an amazing job today. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, including members of staff at the Haven; it's such a horrible, cruel disease. So by just doing our bit today, we've raised a little money to support a worthy cause."
