Kings Lynn Residential turns into tropical paradise for a day

Our staff turned the care home into a tropical island paradise for our residents last week, complete with a sandy beach, a paddling pool, decorations and a host of wonderful costumes. 

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed their hula themed afternoon wearing grass skirts and enjoying aspects of Summer they’ve been missing since lockdown began.

The party was a wonderful celebration in the sunshine involving residents and staff enjoying time in the homes garden. As well as a makeshift beach to give our residents that Summer holiday feeling, they also had seaside favourites such as picture cutouts, good music and great food. 

We’re really proud of our staff for providing such a unique and interactive experience for our residents, it is hugely important to provide our residents with experiences which are enriching, stimulating and fun.

Especially at a time when they are missing out on many regular activities such as beach trips, seaside cream teas and family holidays which have all been postponed due to the pandemic.
