Modern Slavery Statement

Our structure and supply chains

Black Swan Care Group provides care and support to people in our care homes in East Anglia. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality care and support to our residents, and our staff are an important part of this commitment. We also work closely with several suppliers who are based in the UK.

Our supply chains include a wide range of products and services including, but not exhaustively: utilities, food and catering, waste removal, staffing and maintenance.

Our policy in relation to slavery and human trafficking

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or in our supply chains.

This anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

Due diligence

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we ensure that any suppliers we use have completed our questionnaires in relation to slavery and human trafficking. We ensure that we only work with suppliers who treat their obligations towards modern slavery with the same importance that we do.

Risk assessment and management

We have systems in place to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
  • Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Protect whistle blowers

Ensuring effectiveness

To ensure our approach is effective, we check that no reports have been received from employees, the public, or law enforcement agencies to indicate that modern slavery practices have been identified.

Training

We make our employees aware of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and has been approved by the board of directors.
