Black Swan Care Group Norwich homes celebrate Platinum Jubilee!

Our residents in Norwich city were overjoyed to be able to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with their own street parties, BBQ’s and VIP celebrations!

Chiswick House Care Home, Norwich

Residents at Chiswick House Care Home in Norwich were blown away by the amazing effort of staff to turn the home into a Jubilee extravaganza to mark this special occasion. With the monarchy holding a dear place in the heart of the majority of our elderly residents, it seemed only fitting that we begin preparing for this fabulous occasion early. 

Staff came together to produce invitations for all residents family and friends of our residents, to invite them to our Jubilee Spectacular! Residents prepared for this celebration by creating their own royal family by recycling cardboard used in the home, and creating an amazing display!

Decorations adorned the home for the Bank Holiday jubilations, with our amazing Chef’s creating a glorious array of home-made treats for our residents to enjoy in the charming grounds of the home. And a bonus – it was even lovely weather!

Laurel Lodge Care Home, Norwich 

At Laurel Lodge Care Home in Norwich our residents were excited to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a fantastic fun-filled, family day in the homes garden – complete with homemade treats, and a fantastic BBQ!

Staff and residents created an amazing assortment of decorations and crafts in the lead up to the event, ensuring the home looked amazing to mark this special occasion.  The wonderful kitchen team in the home went to an amazing effort creating some truly fabulous sweet treats for the occasion, including cupcakes and a stunning Union Jack fruit sponge!

As well as spending time enjoying good food and good company, our residents and their loved ones were able to make the most of the afternoon thanks to our on-site karaoke station where our residents had the chance to sing to their hearts content.

We wanted to say an amazing thank you to the entire staff team who went above and beyond to make this day extra special for each of our residents!

Heathcote Care Home

At Heathcote Care Home in Norwich our residents were lucky enough to be spoilt rotten by staff who really went the extra mile to ensure each and every one of our residents had a fantastic jubilee!

This event (which has proved particularly poignant for elderly residents) has shown the importance of community spirit, connecting with your local area and celebrating the good times. Following from the Coronavirus Pandemic, we felt this feel-good event would help reinforce positivity and harken to a time when large-scale celebrations were commonplace within care services. 

This event brought our residents and their loved ones together with a custom-made photobooth complete with balloon arch, amazing decorations made and arranged by our resident group, as well as a fantastic spread by the brilliant kitchen staff who always work hard to ensure our meals put a big smile on resident faces.

We wanted to say a huge well done to the team at Heathcote for going above and beyond to ensure our residents had the best Jubilee week they possibly could!
