Our homes may be in lock down at the moment but that doesn’t mean our residents are missing out.
Situated near to the Great Yarmouth seafront, our team of wonderful staff members led by our fantastic manager Sara Pearce at Park House decided to do something special for our residents.
We all have fond memories of seaside summer holidays as a child; from sunny sea swimming off the Cornish coast, to visiting the amazing Big Top Circus at Blackpool or riding donkeys on the beach. Every one of us has a memory like that, and we think it’s that type of nostalgia and fun that is so important right now.
The Park House team wanted to give our residents a wonderful day full of fun and laughter, without anything getting in the way. They bought all the summer holiday staples which you’d expect to see at the fair; from spinning plates, to hook the duck, skittles and holiday themed food and drink.
Not only was the Carnival Day a huge success in terms of putting big smiles on our residents faces, but it’s also wonderful to see them reminiscing about their fond memories of the seaside and Summers past.
We wanted to make it feel like our residents had been on a wonderful trip to the seaside, seen a circus, and enjoyed a picnic on the coast – all while maintaining the lock down and staying inside. They all had a marvelous time and we’re super happy they enjoyed themselves.
Well done to the Park House team for making it happen!
