Chiswick House Care Home

I have already recommended Chiswick House many times. They are exceptional providing excellent individualised care with real attention to detail and nothing is too much trouble. They were a second family to my father. They took time to help him settle in and encouraged him to engage with the wider community of residents. Everything stems from a brilliant management team and staff who work well together. They enjoy their work and take a real interest and really understood Dad’s needs. My father would never have wanted to be in a care home but when he had a stroke he needed additional care. The care home never stopped thinking how they could improve. We visited most days and were always welcomed it was like visiting him in his own home. Without exception there is a feeling of calm with all residents seeming happy and content. My father passed away naturally and the care home treated him with such dignity. If he had not been happy I know he would have chosen to have gone sooner. Thank you - Joanna A

• Resident for over a year Dad has loved his new home as staff and residents have been so friendly and kind. The staff are so professional and caring - a constant reassurance to us, he is in the safest and best place. • Extremely well-managed with care of the highest standard both day and night. When medical attention was needed it was immediately provided with excellent follow up from staff and the doctor. • Quality and variety of food is excellent and birthdays really special. • Dad loves the daily varied and excellent entertainment (staff are improvising with some great ideas during lockdown) Every effort is made to protect the staff and residents from Covid-19. • Residents are well-respected and their views are taken into account in monthly residents’ meetings. • Communication is excellent and nothing too much trouble for the staff. • No hesitation in recommending this residential home to anyone. • It really is his home and feels like it both for Dad and for us. - Kevin H

Chiswick House is an excellent care home, the best that I have visited. The building and facilities are the best one could wish for - modernised, warm, clean - and the activities for residents very professionally and personally organised. From frequent visits to my mother-in-law, I have seen that residents get very well treated by all staff, with excellent food - always a choice - and regular activities. Based on my interactions with them, the manager and her deputy are both outstanding. - Mike H

Throughout 2020 with unprecedented pressure on management and staff due to the restrictions imposed by government regulations during the Covid 19 pandemic, Chiswick House maintained a fantastic family quality. Management worked extremely hard to fulfil all statutory requirements, liaise with families, and ensure that residents had the best possible care during the various lockdowns. The residents became a family and really got to know each other through the activities provided each day. With no visiting into the house, residents and staff became even closer. My mother was well catered for by the chef who takes an individual interest in what each resident likes to eat. She joined in with activities and enjoyed the group chats outside during the summer months. I would highly recommend Chiswick House as a happy, friendly, extremely well run residential care home. Although we haven't been able to visit in the last 12 months any time we have called or FaceTimed the staff have done everything they can to ensure that we were able to speak to my gran. The staff are always really helpful and friendly. Gran is always kept busy with arts, crafts and other activities and I think that it really helps to keep her mind stimulated. - Jennifer T

Throughout a very challenging past 12 months the management and staff at Chiswick House have ensured that all residents' needs and safety have been the highest priority. Mental stimulation/entertainment for all residents during the necessary lockdown was provided by a volunteer. This took the form of crafts, bingo, quizzes, sing-a-longs, poetry and much more. My mother benefited from this enormously as the restrictions of visits from relatives took its toll on her morale. The atmosphere at Chiswick House is always positive and my mother is treated with respect at all times. Nothing is too much trouble for the chef who makes sure that Mum has food she likes. Food presentation is always excellent. Mum was 90 years old last August and the staff made sure she had a wonderful day in spite of the restrictions. The manager and deputy manager are always very helpful when I phone to speak to Mum and they go over and above what is expected to make sure she is OK. - Liz A
