Drummonds Care Home

Drummonds is a residential care home for adults with physical or learning disabilities in the charming village of Feering, between Colchester and Witham in Essex. The home can accommodate up to 41 residents with a focus on dignity, independence and person-centred care.

Drummonds is a single storey designed building with wide hallways allowing for wheelchair use. The home has large separate activities rooms complete with kitchens, a large dining room, in-house bar, arts and crafts facilities and a mobility-friendly swimming pool allowing for hydrotherapy treatments.

The home also has a sensory room with light, texture, and sound activities to provide a therapeutic space for our residents. There is also a large cinema room with projector screen. Our tenants can choose from a large collection of movies which are always being added to.

Outside there are large gardens which feature accessible courtyard areas, a fish pond and chicken coop where our residents help care for the animals. We also have fully accessible play equipment in the gardens. 

At the heart of everything we do is the aim to provide person-centred care tailored to each of our residents. Our care staff support the residents with compassion, respect, and kindness whilst helping them to achieve their goals in life.

We are proud to be a part of the Feering and Kelvedon local community and support our residents to enjoy the local area.

Drummonds is rated as Good Overall with the Care Quality Commission, with an Outstanding in the Responsive category. 

The team at Drummonds were proud to be recognised as national finalists in the Learning Disability and Autism Awards 2021, in the 'Outstanding Contribution' category.
